The CReSC Laboratory

The CReSC is a research laboratory in management sciences and economics, created in 2017 at the initiative of HEC Rabat.

The CReSC brings together, under the scientific direction of Professor Camal Gallouj , a team of permanent faculty complemented by associate researchers.

Research serving the school’s stakeholders

At HEC Rabat, research serves the school's stakeholders. It aligns with the needs and expectations of the different stakeholders, notably: ⦁ Students, enriching their education with updated content based on intellectual contributions from researchers, ⦁ Partner companies and organizations, providing them with solutions and tools to solve concrete problems. ⦁ The academic community, through contributions to advancing knowledge in management sciences.

Objectives and Missions

Research at HEC Rabat pursues several objectives: ⦁ Knowledge development: producing theoretical and empirical work to advance disciplines related to management, ⦁ Practical impact: addressing specific issues faced by companies or industries, ⦁ Academic visibility: publishing in recognized scientific journals and participating in international conferences, ⦁ Research training: introducing students, especially in the Master's program of the Grande École track, to a rigorous scientific methodology.

Action Plan for Research Projects

The CReSC Laboratory has developed its research action plan based on the achievements of ongoing projects built around the central theme of the economic dynamics of services, and also by exploring new topics such as digital transition and artificial intelligence.
Thus, over the next five years, the CReSC laboratory council has approved 4 major collaborative projects:

Project 1: Commerce and large-scale retail in Morocco and Africa

Project 2: New forms of entrepreneurship in AI-based cognitive services

Project 3: Morocco in the information and service economy

Project 4: Digital transition and its impact on the economy, particularly the service economy.
